What do you think. He may have been a mole all along. And now he's helping us find the WMD's.

    I don't know... reduced prison sentences are common for criminals who fully co-operate with the police. Whether 6 months to a year in a secure unit will count as fit punishment remains to be seen. If he is indeed involved in the deaths of thousands he should be locked up for a few years even with full co-operation, after a proper trial by the International War Crimes Court or similar body.

    But I guess if someone has very important information and becomes a ‘supergrass’ authorities might be prepared to let them off the hook more easily.
