If they weren't Muslims....

1)Why did the world allow Saddam to torture his people for so many years including Shiite Muslims? I just heard a new thing they're doing is putting people's heads and feet into shredders. And none of the protesters had signs against this.

2)Why did it take the US and others to go into Kosovo to prevent genocide?


Did the world fail to react because they were Muslims?

    Countries will rarely intervene in other nations affairs unless it is in their own self-interest. Voters are not generally impressed by expensive foreign adventures when there is no clear beenfit to themselves.......

    There was intervention in Kosovo because there was a clear and obviously preventable humanitarian crisis that was being well reported by the media and had elicited public sympathy....

    I do not think that religion plays a part in such decisions.....
