It's probably a clever ingredient thing.. but I agree with Brummy Bird, they all still taste 'delish'! :)

mmmmm, i'm eating a twirl easter egg right now :yum:

I know, Easter is not for ages yet, but I'm doing things all in the wrong order. We had pancake day in our house on Tuesday!

And yeah, why do they all taste different? It's just chocolate. But even flakes and twirls taste really different, and they're REALLY similar.

I'm quite happy to conduct some taste testing though! ;)

i have to disagree with you there i'm afraid....

can't stand whole nuts. why would they think that would be a good idea?

i mean you're chomping along, enjoying all the chocolatey goodness, and then *wham* you break your teeth on a sodding big nut....

    it shouldn't be allowed...

agreed. However, who thinks that they should just have a 'fruit' bar? would be soooooooo lovely, i hate eating fruit and nut but having to take out the nuts all the damn time!

on the subject of nuts and things. I once did a report for my student newspaper on Cadbury's Roses, when they took out all the cremes (coffee cremes, orange cremes, strawberry cremes) and replaced them with more nutty ones and more caramel ones. I was well pissed off, cos I don't like nuts and there's only so much caramel a girl can eat!

So I did a survey at uni (with free choccies to encourage responses!) and most people were angry about them taking away the orange and strawberry cremes!! So I sent the results off to Roses and not long after they brought them back "by popular demand".

I can't have been the only one complaining then?

Because the chocolate is made differently? With different amounts of cocoa and other ingredients.

    Moo.

You know cadbury's have those unusual bars of chocolate that come in different wrappers- there used to be one called top deck which was milk chocolate on the bottom with white on top, it was SO NICE but wheres it gone?! Anyone remember it?!

Hmm, I have to agree, Cadburys is the bomb :D Much better than Galaxy or Nestle...
My favourite has to be good old Dairy Milk or Spira...
    None of this nutty/fruity malarky!!

Ooooooooh I didn't know Roses had brought back the good ones! Orange and strawberry creams are THE nicest :D The nutty ones are shite :(

I noticed that too. In a moment of madness the old woman broke out a box of Roses at the weekend, and imagine my surprise when i saw 'cremes back by popular demand'.

It'd been so long since i had a box of Roses i didn't even know they'd taken the bloody cremes out! anyway, it's all good - strawberry creme is the sole reason for purchase of Roses in my humble (but usually right) opinion.....

and the nutty chocolates....what's that all about? leave the chocolate on it's own..

    Wasn't that a Double Decker?

When it comes to the battle of the chocolate bars, i have to stick to the home town team - Mars!! Dove, galaxy, M&Ms. The smell when you pass the factory is gorgeous! :p
