Scottish tuition fees

I hear those who live in Scotland and stay there come Uni get their tuition fees for free. Is this true or have I had my leg pulled? It seems quite unfair because I was hoping to go back to England, but saving thousands could well make me change my mind.

    Yes this is true, scottish students who study at scottish uni's get their tuition for free...see here and more here

    yeah it's true, the Scottish government has it sorted!

    i'm an english student studying in Scotland and have to pay full fees while those around me get their education for free (although, the Scottish students do get a lower amount of loan than me).
