how many is too many

so... i hate my current job.
so... its tax season, i've gotten all of my W2 back and it came to me that, in the last year, i've had 4 jobs. 4 'permant' jobs at least, i've had tons of other jobs on the side too
but back to hating my job, this is my third one, acutally, fourth one in less than a year, and i hate it, i really really want a new job. people have always said that employers dont' like applications with many jobs in a short amount of time, so, would it be unwise to quit? should i just stick it out u ntil summer time? or should i just up and quit? is 4 really that many?
