  at least the door to door sales men, and god bothers put in personal effort.
  
  You can receive 10 junk mail items, and 100 spam's a day and know all some-one has done is 5 minutes of copy, paste and clicking....
  
  and at least the salesmen and god bothers can have the bits of paper they try to give out thrust back at them...
  
  Once something comes through my letter box there is no way sending it back will get it re-used. And what i've been getting recently does not look of feel very recycled. Think of the trees....
  
  And on the same note, the bandwidth each of our respective ISP's has is not infinite... Each spam mail makes the net run that much slower
