No offence, but why do girls always feel cold? Seriously, is it scientifically proven that men can handle the cold better than women? I find it funny how girls are always complaining that its cold, turning on the heating, wearing blankets and sweaters, while I'm walking around in my tee shirt.

Anyway, back to the question, get some draught excluders so that no wind comes in throught the door even when its shut.
Just put layer upon layer of clothes on yourself, until you don't feel cold. Who cares if you look like a twat, at least your warm :)
Also, try this, next time you are feeling cold, just take all of your clothes off, and stand with your arms spread out for several minutes. Don't let the get to you, you have to fight back. If you keep doing this, you will soon get used to the cold:D .

lol, seriously, I really think it might work. You'll soon get used to the cold. You can't keep yourself in the heat all of the time, you have to fight back (if you know what I mean). I've kind of tried that method. One winter, I didn't have a jacket, and I used to go college with just a shirt on all the time. I soon got used to the cold, and now I wear tee shirts in December and January;) (not all of the time though)

Women have less fatty tissue and muscle, plus their capillaries are closer to the surface.

if you have gas central heating, either back boiler behind a gas fire or a seperate one...pull of the loose plate and the instructions are there. was it working before they left. if so press the overide button on the wall control..in a cupboard somewhere.

then the chances are it's still working now you pudding.
check that each radiator is actualy turned on...anti clockwise turns them on. find the control panel..in the airing cupboard or somewhere. press overide. i'm good with this stuff but it's difficult not actualy seeing what you have. wheres your hot water cylinder/tank ? chances are the controls are there. i've gotta got to bed in ten mins so go have a look and get back to me. the weather is friggin freezing.

Don't drink alcohol (whisky or brandy) It might make you feel warm inside but it actually takes heat away from your body:no:

Actually, I remember a talk by a survival specialist who told us that women are acutally better at surviving colder climates, due to their extra fat reserves (which also make's them shapely - mmmm!). The extra fat also helps survive without food longer too. So women are better equiped to survive more extreme conditions.
