one of the best things you can ever do for yourself when your in debt, is to speak to the people you are in debt with. i should know, i'm one of the people that people in debt speak to, credit cards to be exact. give your creditors a call. maybe you can come up with a mutual repayment plan that suits you and the creditor. maybe have a word about your finances with the citizens advice bureau. they offer a free financial consultation by interview and will sort out the paperwork too.

Not many people like their job, so you're not alone there.

How about you look for another job whilst you've still go this one. If it upsets you so much then perhaps thats the answer.

Why are you in debt? Who are you in debt to?

I have worked since leaving school 13 years ago and my chosen career track was in the catering trade. Did all my qualifications and ended up as manger of a busy restaurant in our city centre.

The restaurant then got bought out by a pub chain and turned into a bar and we were all laid off.

I was unemployed for 3 months and applying for everything and anything, but being just after christmas, everywhere in my trade weren't employing due to being the quietest time of year.

I eventually ended up taking a "stop-gap" job as a postman 2 years ago, and have been there ever since. I absolutely love my job and am wondering why I didn't do it 10 years ago.

Moral of the story: Find a job that you are happy with and enjoy as this is more important than financial reward. Yes, we'd all love to have £50,000 a year jobs but it aint gonna happen to most of us. Get a job you like, get settled, then start paying back what you owe. if you take any old job just to pay the bills you'll end up stressing yourself out and going back to square one.

Yeah, work sucks. That's why they have to pay us to do it. Don't know what else to say. I could say suck it up and deal with it. But even I'm not good at that. I just think of it as - work is work and the rent has to get paid. It's just a means to an end for me. I don't have to enjoy it, but if I do, woohoo.

Yea if there was any other way of makin money like i do by just sitting around well id do that.. You know life is all based around money... It is though.. You cant go n a holiday if you dont have money.. you cant go shopping, socialise.. etc...
I know they say that money isnt everything.. but to be honest if you didnt have it ... youknow youd be up the creek!

    I know how you feel!

My work sucks so much that I live for the weekends, which seem to go quicker and quicker!! I can't seem to get out of here either to find something better! Been to loads of interviews etc but just second best not quite there!

I know I should be paid a lot more money than I do, and I hate my boss! It gets me very down at times - but hay it pays for the bills - just!!!!!
