  Kurdistan isnt controlled by Baghdad though and we are even considering using the Kurds as allies in the coming war.

  Are you telling us this to reinforce the argument that the U.S. is right to invade Iraq? As far as hunting down and removing terrorists is concerned, U.S. forces are advised to check out Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

  So here is a really outlandish thought for you...
  
  Currently the US must rely on Saudi for its bases in the Middle East. By invading and controlling Iraq they no longer have to worry about this, they can then use Iraq as a base for futher operations in the Middle East, including Saudi...
