24 hour time

I don’t like that it is 24 hour time. I did say this ages ago and just been trying to find it but can’t but basically i said its okay its something I never can get into my head but maybe I will now & probs the only one who’s annoyed by it. And asked if wanted you to do a poll and I said no it’s fine cause probs the only one. But I’m still not used to it. I just don’t like 24 hour time. I don’t like trying to work out what the time means😂I know most people automatically know what the time means but it has never stuck in my head and idk why i was quite good at maths but yeah. Basically I’m asking can you change it to none 24 hour time cause everyone understands what that means. And not everyone knows 24 hour automatically

    I’m very used to 24 hour time as it’s what my phone is set to but I think it’d be good to have a setting at least, so people could choose which format of time they had on their posts.

    As an aside, a good way of working it out if you’re confused is to take the first number (like 17) and minus 12 from that number and that’ll give you the time in 12 hour (so 17:00 would be 5pm if you minus 12 from 17). I used to do that when I got confused by it :)

    Hmm, we could probably do a poll on this @Shaunie. there are some genuine arguments for it, such as accessibility (not everyone can read 24 hour time easily or at all). I'd need to check if there's an option to switch it to 12 hour time, but assuming there is, it's definitely something we can poll.

    It would almost certainly be a universal setting rather than one you can change for your own account, just due to the way the system works. So apologies that it wouldn't be individual!

    Do people think it's a worth a vote?
