Mum has now partnered me with her best friends daughter. We are both 17 and have been in a relationship for 2 years. I think that we both know there’s no feelings there but don’t want to admit that to each other.
My family and family friends are snobby and feel they are better than everyone else. They look down at those in the lgbtq+ community and believe men should be with women only. They are always on my back about working in a car garage, riding a bike and having tattoos. They wanted me to go to university and have a “professional job” and say that I have ruined myself with the way I behave.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to be “fully” me because I know that if I was my family would disown me and despite their ridiculous views, they do mean a lot to me.
You truly deserve to express who you are and exactly who you want to be, and to be accepted and loved for that. I hope that one day you are able to feel this. Sending lots of love and support to you in the meantime
