Self-care baskets

Some of you have been asking about self-care and self care boxes/baskets as well as pencil cases, with the content that some of us keep in them. I'm going to give you some ideas and a list of distractions but I want you guys to add what you like to do, what helps ground you.

This is the content of the self-care box I have: (I do have more which I haven't shown but I will list)

Spoiler

Comment jar, tangle toys, hand cream, perfume, DVD player (I keep my harry potter box set next to the box), ping pong ball, Bach Reduce Remedy spray, earphones, sleeping spray for the pillow, hair bobbles, the current book I'm reading, Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella and my colouring book.

This is what I carry on me when I go out in a pencil case or just lose in my bag

Bach Reduce Remedy spray, ping pong ball, tangle toy, hand cream and hair bobbles.

This is what I use to ground me when I am struggling. What helps ground you?

If your struggling and need some idea to help distract yourself take a look here

@Abigail I've never heard of a self care basket but I absolutely love it!

If I did mine would be my colouring book and pencils, my journal, my photo album (I love printing and looking at old photos), emergency face mask and emergency treat (chocolate probably!)

    What is a comment jar?

    Love this thread @Abigail <3

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

My self care basket is a small comfort toy, my positivity jar, loom bands, s clips, click pens, a good exam paper to remind me how clever I am and a small pack of fruit pastille sweets. S clips are very important when using loom bands so you don't lose all the bands.

Love threads like these! Absolutely love making self care boxes and similar things, never thought of doing a self care bag to use when I’m out but I think that’s  really good idea! X

    Thank you 💗
