OMG @The Mix In love with the confetti cannon right now 😍
Me tooooo I just came here to say I love the pride confetti!!!!!

    @Millie2787 & @Jellyelephant It's the best colours! Glad you like it :)

How far in advance should we make a confetti request, to guarantee you guys can make it happen? @The Mix

@Aidan if you can post your requests as early as possible, either a few months before that would be perfect!
Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

I love the pride colours as well. I even made a drawing of a pride flag out of all my colours and used light blue ribbon. I will post a photo after school for everyone. Great confetti cannon!
I have endured pain and loss. I have felt broken. I have known hardship, and I have felt lost and alone.

But here I stand, trying to move forward, one day at a time. I will remember the lessons in my life because they are making me who I am. Stronger.

Yellow and dark blue from 16th September to 20th September for Jeans For Genes Day.

Wear your jeans and make a donation to improve the lives of children with life-altering genetic disorders.

An example of this is 5 year old Jack with a very rare genetic disorder called Adenylosuccinate Lyase Deficiency. This causes him seizures that can cause him to stop breathing, he is fed through a tube, he cannot walk or talk and many children with the condition don't live past their tenth birthday. Money raised on Jeans for Genes day goes towards specialist care for children like Jack, making a real difference to their short lives.

Did you know that 1 in 25 children in the UK are born with a life-altering genetic disorder. That would be 1 child in every primary school classroom.

Ask your teacher or school council if your school can hold a Jeans for Genes Day and help provide vital care, equipment and support for children like Jack.
I have endured pain and loss. I have felt broken. I have known hardship, and I have felt lost and alone.

But here I stand, trying to move forward, one day at a time. I will remember the lessons in my life because they are making me who I am. Stronger.

You missed international dog day. Lol. It is today 🐶🐶🐶 <3

    International dog day is
"Take time to appreciate the love and value that dogs bring to our daily lives, and to do your bit for homeless and abused dogs the world over. From keeping us safe working for the emergency services to supporting people who are blind, deaf or disabled, dogs do a lot for us humans, and this is an opportunity to give something back"
    <3 <3 <3

I soemtimes go with my sisters to one place where abused dogs are kept and we walk them and they're the cutest and then we give the people some money. Going to ask my sister to do this when it's not too hot.

just thought I'd put that out there anyways ah. Makes me wanna cry when I think about how great dogs are <3

    :flushed: oops

So, confetti cannon updates got away from us a bit over the last month or so, but we're back on it.

September was looking incredibly busy, so we decided to limit confetti changes to one per week. Because of that, we'll only include one of three for the final week of the month. They're all very good causes though and definitely feel free to post about to them to your heart's content. :)

    Here's the current schedule:

    ----

    September (full)

    8th - International Literacy Day
10th - World Suicide Prevention Day
    16th-20th - Jeans for Genes
We can only fit one of these in (to be decided):
    23rd - Bi Visibility Day
    28th - Safe Abortion Day
    29th - World Heart Day

    October

    4th - World Animal Day
    31st - Halloween(?)

    November

25th - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Please choose bi visibility day. As a bisexual lady I am affected constantly by the shitty stereotypes around being bisexual “you’re greedy” “you’re just gay but in denial” etc... pretty sure I won’t be the only one on the mix

Personally I'd like to see safe abortion day as I have a past around that. But I'm happy to see whatever is decided.

Bit biased since I suggested it :p but I'd love to see Bi Visibility Day represented!

Even if it isn't chosen, it would be great to get everyone involved in a thread or something. Like @Jellyelephant I've dealt with a lot of negativity being bisexual - it would be awesome for everyone to tell their stories and celebrate together.

I have an idea for October! Some of it could be about Black History Month. I am making a film about it at school with my class.
