Hey everyone,

Sibling rivalry is common, but it can be hard when there’s constant conflict. What can you do to avoid conflict?

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

Haha. I just try to understand and appreciate that we are totally different people. Some things I'm better at, others he's better at, so if I start to feel rivalry I would just think about remembering the things I'm good at!

I have a twin. And i feel like the closer the age the more rivarly and conflict as going through the same stages of life. Eg school & work. Though as we have gotten older we do have less conflict between differences ect as like what @Lucy307 said - is important to realise good at different things. & causes less agrument. But sometimes t because jelously and envy which is quite damaging.

But as get older feel bad about doing better. And opposite when younger. Like my sister doesnt want to start voluterring or new work yet because will shift some sort of balance and she said she feels bad about it. Which obviously makes me feel like i am bringing her down and then that has caused arguments - even indirectly and feel get moody about anything with her after the conversation. As obviously bad tension. Though have realised havign more personal space away from each others make less conflict. And realising different people.  I have an older sister but lot less conflict as not so much similar age to compare as much as do with my other sister

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley
