Can anybody please tell mehow UCAS allocates points? I'm trying to fill in info on a job web site & having been out of education for a while I have no idea how many points I have.

Thanks!

    A - 10 points
    B - 8 points
    C - 6 points
    D - 4 points
    E - 2 points
    U/N - no points

    Thats for A levels

    For AS levels, half the points total you would get at A level (eg. A at AS level = 5 points, not 10!

    Hope this helps!

    The UCAS points system has recently changed though, the one above is the old system. As already suggested check the website for the new system, but you may want to find out from the employer which system they are expecting you to use to avoid you saying "I have 40 points" which woulda been great on the old system but amounts to one E grade on the new system!!

    Alevel

    120 = A
    100 = B
    80 = C
    60 = D
    40 = E

    AS level

    80 = A
    60 = B
    40 = C
    20 = D

    i think sorry if im wrong.
