World Cup

Are you allowed to watch the world cup at work?
Some places will give you paid leave and not take it off your leave allowance.
Some have decided to introduce flexi time so you catch up what you miss later.

Mine has done JACKSHIT. As long as no more than 25% of the staff on each section take leave on each match I can take Paid holiday off my allowance. I didnt realise this and applied too late as everyone has already taken the time off.

I can see a mysterious illness taking hold for approximately one month.

At my place we are allowed to try and sort it out with a manager bout time off and there will be a TV in the canteen. It doesnt affect me though as I dont like football, plus I dont see why you should get time off for the World Cup, it is unfair to the other work collegues who have to work harder to cover while people are off.

I work in a nursery so cant watch the games during work. However, I do work part time so I've cunningly adjusted the days I want to work to ensure that I get days off to watch the crucial England games. And school can go jump, if the footies on, lessons can wait! It's only A levels. i just feel sorry for those of you with exams

I took drastict action to watch all of the world cup, had an operation and got to have 3 months off work recovery time !! so can see every single game, and still get paid for it !! nice

Bad side is my arm is giving me pain, but after a few beers, that shouldnt be a problem until we score then i have to try and not throw my arm in the air to celebrate, as this would course much pain, and maybe even dislocate my shoulder like when beckham scored against greece. Ohh well learne by mistakes !
