a while this season, the world cup & a fair amount of next season, beyond that i doubt he'll ever be the same player, this injury is as bad as i gets for a footballer

Although i don't really like Arsenal, i have alot of sympathy for Pires, he was on the crest of a wave and was possibly set to be footballer of the year, and would of had a great world cup. That said he's now picking up 30,000 odd grand a week for fuck all not a bad situation to be fair.

Quick question,

This guy gets 30,000 pounds a week to play for Arsenal?

How much do the top players get paid a year?
Not including endorsements, of course.

well some players are rumoured to be around £80,000/£90,000 a week - maybe more. so...

£90,000 a week
52 weeks in a year
90,000 x 52

£4,680,000 a year

Wages in Spain are more than here! Then of course theres player endorsement and the like which I'm sure are about the same as the wage for big name players.

There are teams where the players earn more than the team - Blackburn are one.
