So, after having been told by everyone that Luton is a dump, I'm leaning towards Anglia Polytechnic uni - being close to London and major airports is always nice. How far is Cambridge - London central btw?
Now, has anyone attended this uni? Could tell something about general atmosphere and quality of tuition? And is the town snobbish, with all the tourism and the Eton-boys at Uni of Cambridge? Any ideas on the amount of mature students at the uni?
And would anyone by chance know whether the uni requires TOEFL-testing or similar to accept non-native speakers of English?
And finally...what's with hall accommodation; will it be crawling with 18-years old kids leaving home for the first time to go party? Will all uni be? (I mean, that's cute enough, but I did it six years ago, and spending an insane bunch of money, I do want to study, study, study as well as socializing) Any ideas what one's looking at renting private accommodation in the area?
Oh, and...what does one write on the personal statement of the UCAS papers? "Hi, I'd like to study there, which should be fairly obvious since I'm sending an application, and my choice of subject naturally interests me, as I'm applying for it"? What do they want - me telling that I'm a nice behaving girl?
Any clues greatly appreciated.

Look on www.ucas.com for advice about personal statement. Aren't you a bit late to apply?
The majority will be 18yr old kiddies and yes it is annoying...trust me.
grow up!

Tell me more about Cambridge and UWE, please?
Can't help you out with all the other info though, but I can recommend both the Virgin and Times university guides. www.qaa.ac.uk might give you some help as well. There's plenty of university info out there, and you'll find it more than answers most of your questions.
Good luck.
