I always do this: whenever I read those books on 'How to get into Medical School' I always panic because I get paranoid about not getting an interview or buggering up my ucas statement
I've got shitloads of work experience and hopefully I'll get the grades I need this year, and I've got into a summer school at St Georges but that sinking feeling is in my stomach. Anyone know the type of applicants who get rejected? Cos at the moment I feel like one of them *sniff*

In the words of Bob...

......Don't worry
......About a thing
......Cause every little thing
......Is gonna be alright!

I really wouldn't worry about it. Just do your best in your exams and do the Summer School (which will look Jamie Oliver (Pukka!) on your UCAS form!). If you succeed, revel in your triumph. If you fail, you tried your hardest and NO - ONE in this world can ask you to do better.

So relax, and just do your best!

Hi, i'm new to all this but I had to register to reply. I too have applied to uni through UCAS this year. I am already at uni and the first time i applied i got six conditional offers from all the courses i applied to. this time though (and i have to say i'm extremely gutted about this)i got rejected from all but one. what i can't understand is though with this application i have more experience and showed some dedication to studying. I have a funny feeling that the UCAS system is all a conspiracy and that there is some higher power (like big brother) watching and laughing at our downfalls. they saw that i got too cocky (cos i did feel quietly confident) and decided to take me down a peg or two. anyway all the best with your application i'm sure you'll get what you want.
