Help a thick person

I'm going to show myself up as being very dim here but here goes- how do you work out percentages???

    to work out percentages, you get whatever you got (ie, say you got 32/50 in a test, that would be 32), and divide it by the thing that it was out of (so 50, if it was the test total achievable score). You then times the answer, (0.64) by 100, giving you 64%. Hope that helps, percentages were the only things i was any good at in maths!

    in baby language (thats how i learnt)...

    small number 'devided' by big number = ?

    '?' x 100 = percentage <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
