should i go to nottingham???

hi all, i was just wondering if anyone's got any great advice about nottingham uni..preferably from personal experience! i can't decide whether to go there, i need a push in the right direction! thanx! [email]null[/EMAIL][email protected]

Well I applied to go there and didn't get in :-( I visited and was impressed-it's a gorgeous campus with lots of greenery and a lake, and the town centre is great.
The uni has a very good reputation, but check out the individual course you are interested in.

I goto Nottingham Trent univeristy (nottingham has 2 unis). Trent is a lot bigger and is in the centre of town. It is a very good uni, and from what other people at different unis have told me, the teachers are very good, and the accomodation aint that bad. It depends what course you want to do, but Nottingham uni has a reputation for being the "posh git" uni.

i've applied and been accepted. not visited, but will be going at some point in 2002. the reputation it has in phenomenal, and alumni aren't half bad i do believe. facilities, facilities, facilities.

and dont forget, uni is what YOU make of it. notts is a good uni, but it will only be great if u make it great. same applies to all other unis.

I can't really speak for the uni, although everyone i speak to loves it ! But nottingham is a superb student city, you'll love it

I lived in Nottingham already. I dont think distance shud be a problem anyway.

i think im putting nottingham as my insurance becuase i got an offer to warwick yesterday, which is no.1 for sociology, whereas nottingham is no.26 or something. Although nottingham would have way better nightlife so im still in 2 minds.

i too applied for nottingham but didnt get in (which seems to be a common thread here)

i visited though and it was bloody nice.from what ive heard its cool too.

if u get in go - just for the unlucky ones who couldnt (like me)
