Now hear dis!
I'm great at drama, im coming to the end of my two year a-level course. Mates of mine, and teachers reckon i should carry it on into further education i.e drama college uni. But i think otherwise. I'm really worried i won't make it so i got signed up for a mordern apprentiship, just to fall back on.
Some people have said this is a better idea but i love my drama and don't want to miss out on my chance. Anyone that a dramahoper like me knows its all "right place, right time" stuff.
What do peeps think i should do? <IMG SRC="confused.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I had exactly the same problem only with another subject. German (yer i know totally different). I decided to carry on doin german to university but after 2 months in uni, i totally resented doin it.It just seems ur not learning anything new and so i took a year out and now im going back next year to study something totally different and im much happier.
You have to do what u want to do and not what other people say. Dont forget u'll always have the ability to act so y not try somehting new and different?

    Good luck with it!

How about going to a Uni where you can combine drama with another subject. I knwo that most people combine it with English but there's always media studies and various others. That way you get to stay in the drama scene but have something else to fall back on. Famous people like Fry and Laurie though didn't study drama (I don't think) and they just got spotted through a University drama group. Hope that helps you a little.

Yeah good idea loopi. I do not know how easy it is to get a job with a drama degree to be honest, not meaning to be nasty, and doing a combined degree gives you another string to your bow.

    Good luck!
