    Bad points:
Both "cities" are dire shit holes.
Neither city has any noteworthy achievements
The clubs in Leicester are awful
The clubs in Manchester are full of Noel Gallhager look alikes.

    Your call.

Don't worry, you wont get into either of them until you learn to write properly. And considering both of them are shitholes (uni and city), that's not very impressive.

    Hi!

I'm a student at Man Met, now in my second year, of four.

Manchester is a really cool place to be a student in. There are loads of pubs and clubs, many aimed towards the 50000 students here, so loads of cheap promotions, vodbull nights, 70's nites, dance, trance, indie, garage, whatever u like.

LOts of redevelopment here, probably to recover after the bomb blast and in preparation for the Commonwealth games. There's a fantastic cinema and themed 'street' at the Printworks. £3.50 for students to go to the movies. Loads of shops and the Trafford Centre Mall is just outside the city.

Good transport - loads of buses and trains and close to the airport.

If staying in halls, don't stay at Montgomery Halls - oh my god, what a dump.

Now living in Fallowfield - home to many many students!

Bad points - Crime (muggings, car thefts). A lot of Big Issue sellers in your face. Quite dirty. Bus driver's driving. Rude people, plain ignorant.

Good points - nightlife, restaurants, cinemas, freshers, the 'Curry Mile' in Rusholme (over 50 places to get Indian food), student discounts.

As for Man Met, there are better universities in the city if you can get the grades. Its a new uni and its not bad.

    Have had a fantastic time here! Love it! <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

Shrek, what course do you do?

I'm 60% for Preston and 40% for Manchester Met at the moment. Although, Preston's nightlife is not amazing, I have alot more mates there and it's close to where I live, even though I have to take a boat.

It's a big decision when you will be spending the next 3/4 years at that Uni...

Give the poor girl a break. Obviously she is as thick as pig shit but we cannot go around punishing people for that can we? It would result in a serious decrease of working class. My advice to you poor deluded girl is to skip Uni all together and start being a checkout attendant straight away. Even if you do go to one of those so-called 'universities' that you have chosen you will probably end up working at the local HappyShopper anyway. I suppose not everyone can be a plutocrat such as myself.

In fact, the more I read that the more utterly disgusted I become. Why do you make the assumption that the working classes will be "thick as pig shit"? Justify it. Now.

Who the fuck do you think you are exactly? Have you ever done a day's work in your life you vile little toad?

Or, depressed with the whole system, you could go to Edinburgh. Here, if you consider a point that someone above made that Leicester is, say extending things, the worst university, then with regard to Edinburgh you should consider that small people go to Leicester and where the word and boxed description "worst" appears, it also appears on a line, the same word, before this and after, endlessly. So ............ worst ................ (bing)

    becomes

worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst worst
and so on forever. I kid ye not.

But this is quite a healthy thread as it advises someone they will go to work at somewhere like savacentre. This is so much better than going to the worst or a "worst" university. It sounds like a good thing straight away, without even thinking about universities, if they exist anywhere.

It is quite funny. I have made a mistake above so that I have not made it very, very clear that the unending line of worsts describes Edinburgh University. This is what I mean as it is the truth, and I'm not being sarcastic, but what's funny is that it could also seem to be Leicester instead, and this is what Edinburgh university students do. (Or did, in attitude I mean, it has been a while since I was there.)
