What do you cook during exam time at uni, when time is limited? What about the rest if the year? What are some good foods to cook as uni students?

And what about exercise? How do you exercise during exam time?

During exam time I mostly eat broccoli/carrots/peppers with dip, and pasta with tomato sauce and cheese. Oats and raisins for breakfast. It's all very quick to make, tastes good, and is relatively healthy.

I don't generally exercise that much anyway, but during revision I take a ten minute brisk walk every couple of hours to get my blood flowing. The gym always seems super full during exam period though.

Go to the gym most week nights .... just for an hour to unwind and take a break from revision :)

I tend to carry on as normal because cooking is a good study break and if you're in student accom a good time to socialise with others and to just chill out.

If this isn't for you, maybe bulk cook then freeze a week's meals to make it easier? That way you're still getting good food but it won't take ages to prep!

I've been doing lots of Mexican bean dishes recently. Cook up a load of black beans when you're taking a break (the preparation time isn't long at all, just soaking and cooking time). This recipe's really good (you could do it with pinto beans instead). Or buy them in a can.

Then just reheat them and eat with a tortillas or rice or cornbread , and a combination of tomatoes, salad leaves, other raw vegetables, coriander, feta, cheddar, sour cream, sour cream, jalapenos hot sauce (I like Cholula best).
