Might go long distant? Will it work?

Hi all,

My Girlfriend and I have been together for 2 years now and there's an opportunity at work where I can work abroad for 1 year and then come back home. This opportunity will boost my career and possibly my position within the company.

My issue is, I don't want to leave my GF behind :( Although she says it would be ok and that its only a year time will go quick...

I'd love to do it but I don't want it to strain our relationship and end up calling it off.

Such a hard decision to make.

Anyone been through this sort of issue?

In my humble opinion: You would be daft not to go. She is even supportive of the decision and one year really is not much.

Go. Your partner will feel like shit if you don't go and make it obvious that the reason you are staying behind is because of her. And potentially you could resent her for not furthering your own career. If your relationship is strong already a year will fly by.
