Thanks for posting your query.
Miss Riot is spot on about income support when you are in full time education.
I will just provide a few links to give you some more information.
On theSite we have some articles about benefits - http://www.thesite.org/homelawandmoney/money/benefitsandtax
We also have an article about income support in specific - http://www.thesite.org/homelawandmoney/money/benefitsandtax/incomesupport
To get more specialised advice you can find your local Citizens Advice Bureau here - http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/
In fact they have a detailed page about young people and benefits - http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/benefits_w/benefits_children_and_young_people_ew/young_people_and_benefits.htm
Or you can submit a question to theSite using the ask a question service - http://www.thesite.org/community/askthesite/askaquestion
I hope this helps.
Also you can post a new thread in the Introduce Yourself forum to say hi to others on here - http://vbulletin.thesite.org/forumdisplay.php/105-Introduce-yourself
Just a note to say that your parents are probably receiving Child Benefit (and possibly Child Tax Credit) for you at the moment. If you move out and claim benefits then they wouldn't be entitled to these anymore, and would need to tell HMRC.
Hope things work out.
