What unpopular opinions do you have?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
So this thread is just for ideas you have that it seems other people don't agree with.... light-hearted so no stabbing other people for their controversial opinions ;) but there are no limits on what opinions we have!

Me first:

I think mini-roundabouts are a good thing. *ducks under the nearest cover*

It's perfectly acceptable when karma catches up with someone in a bad way.

I think people should need a licence to be able to have kids.

I was just about to post exactly that.

I also think the UK should buy a small island, and anyone who is found guilty of crime on three separate occasions be sent there and made to fend for themselves. Annoys me that murderers and rapists don't serve the correct amount of time because we need to free up prison space taken up by repeat petty criminals. Not sure how unpopular that one is though!

Feel free to disagre with others and say why you disagree if you like :p, but this is an anything goes thread and I'm hoping to keep it that way without getting too 'heavy'. I would also like us to consider it a 'safe space' for sharing of opinions if that's ok? :)

Given the way people voted in this country the Liberal Democrats did the right thing by going into coalition with the Conservatives. Despite the regular fucking over the later regularly deliver to the former, and despite some ... er ... interesting choices, once you bear in mind that more people voted for Cameron's bunch than any other the yellows are doing a reasonable job of restraining the blues, and softening or mitigating the Tory lunacy.

The Godfather is not one of the best films ever made. Totally agree with Peter Griffin

That the keeping alive of very premature/sick babies and children is not always the right thing to do. Quality over quantity.

I agree. And pets - especially dogs. Too often I see 'aggressive' dogs penned up in a yard and never once see them being walked (you get to know the other dog walkers in your area) and then people wonder why they have problems with them.
I also think animal and child cruelty should be punished with the acts they inflicted upon their victim. Maybe that's a bit extreme but I don't think 'human rights' apply to anyone who can't behave like a decent human being

It was an amazing plan. Shame we aren't allowed to do it anymore because we have to be "civilised"

I agree, I never disliked the book as much as I disliked the films! But then I wasn't very fond of the books neither o.o

    Ooh, and...

Llamas are meant to be Pets! Google Agrees...

Llamas are great working partners and family pets. They have predictable, calm responses to new situations. Llamas are trustworthy. Their intelligent, gentle nature allows even small children to interact with them.

Agree. There reaches a point where letting someone die is kinder.

There are so many things we cant do because if human rights, it seems backwards that people who are terminally ill can't make the decision to go on their own terms. People should be allowed to control their own destiny.

I also greatly agree with the legalisation of euthanasia.
