Do you mean who gets in contact with people who benefit in someone's will ?

The executor is usually in charge of all that. Winding up the estate, paying taxes, settling debts, paying beneficiaries etc. Sometimes its a relative/friend, sometimes a bank, solicitor etc though banks/solicitors charge high fees for doing this.

Heather. He doesn't know where they are. He wants to put someone in his will, that he doesn't know how to contact. He can not just get in touch with them.

The executors have to endeavour to find the individuals mentioned in a will. So even if the individual is stated with an address, they may have moved since. So the executors would try to track them down.

A good organisation to contact if you'd like to get more information is the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Here is a link to their site.

Or if you are considering writing a will here is a link to an article you might find useful.

    Hope that helps

There are many ways that you can find someone if you don't have an address for them - googling their name can often bring up something, otherwise using 192 people can help, facebook, electoral roll searches, the online BT phonebook service.

If you're writing your own will, try and give as much info about the whereabouts of the person at the moment, because if you are making a relative or friend the executor (from personal experience) its an incredibly stressful thing to have to do, alongside coping with the berevement.
