Hiya

Sorry for the short notice guys but we've just managed to confirm an exciting expert chat for Tuesday 6th November from 7-8pm. :yippe:

If you're stuck in a job hunt rut, not sure how to get started or just really need to get organised when it comes to your career and making yourself stand out then come along on Tuesday night and get some advice from an expert.

What makes you employable?
The job situation is tough out there. Add that to the personal challenges you might face when it comes to getting into employment and it soon becomes clear that just writing your CV and sending off applications isn't enough. Being employable means all sorts of things. It might be...

- self awareness: knowing your own strengths and weaknesses and having the confidence and ability to communicate them

- being able to show initiative and enthusiasm

- being able to prioritise and make decisions

- knowing how to identify the right job opportunities for you

- interpersonal skills: being able to relate to other people

General life skills come into play as well such as coping with rejection, staying motivated and avoiding that sense of burnout or getting into the right mindset for the all important interview.

We're lucky to be joined by Productivity Ninja Graham Allcott.
Graham is the founder of Think Productive, a training company that specialises in workshops that boost productivity. Launched in April 2009 Think Productive has earned rave reviews from the likes of British Airways, The Cabinet Office, Blackberry, eBay, University College London and Barclays Commercial Bank.

Away from productivity, Graham?s background and other big passion is for the charity sector. A keen social entrepreneur, he is the founder of Fruitful Consulting, a social enterprise consultancy, and Intervol, an international student volunteering charity.

Previous roles include Chief Executive of Student Volunteering England and Head of Volunteering at the University of Birmingham and as an advisor to UK Governments red and blue on youth engagement policy.

He was the founding Chairman of READ International, an award-winning charity recycling English curriculum textbooks by sending them to Tanzanian schools, and is a trustee of the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Graham is married and lives in Brighton. Despite an intolerance of failure elsewhere in his life, he is an Aston Villa season ticket holder :)

Graham has also written a book called How to be a Productivity Ninja - check it out on paperback and as an ebook :)

As you can see he's got all kinds of experience and this is your chance to pick his brains on your own situation.

If you can't make it but you have a question for Graham then PM me and we can ask it on your behalf :thumb:
