Favorite soup!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Boo! So it's the autumn/winter months - and the perfect months for soup!

All the soups I have are homemade, and so far - I'm in love with Carrot and Coriander and Broccoli! Totals NOM!

So, which is your favourite soup to have?

I like mulligatawny too but a word of warning - the tesco's finest one is horribly watery and tasteless.

I'm a big fan of my mama's minestrone too. And broccoli & Stilton. And pumpkin. And home made chicken soup with homemade stock.

Plain ol' tomato with about a whole loaf of buttered bread. :D

And when the butter melts and it's soup and melty butter on bread - NOM.

end of the veg box soup.

Pretty much all the veg that i have left.
Potatos, onions, carrots, sweet potatos, butternut squash, cabbage, leeks, jerusalum artichokes, beetroot, cherry tomatoes. Bunged in a massive pot with water and a couple of organic vegetable stock cubes.

oh yeah, and pearl barley. If i have some meat, ill cube it and bung it in. Lamb or chicken is nice. Not essential though. My boys like meat in their soup, the girl and me pick it out. Also some pasta 20 mins before the end is always good.

I do make the best pot luck soup. never the same twice. Fab with grated cheese, black pepper, and some crusty bread and real salted butter
