feeling down

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I've been feeling negative today. i know society says it's wrong to be negative (IMO a symptom of our PC society) but I cannot really help it nonetheless.

I don't really have many friends. I think ultimately it's because I don't get the same normal knowledge as everybody else. Everybody else seems to agree on common knowledge and facts of human existence, and I don't seem to get it.

I feel down also since I've been a loner for years, and everybody is denying me my right to normal knowledge and thus advancement.

how do I get normal knowledge?

It's perfectly normal to feel this, and you're not the only one. There's tons of people in your situation, I share some of these thoughts with you. I feel lonely sometimes, and feel inexperienced in some areas.

Have you tried volunteering for any group activities or going to the gym? These are a couple of examples of things to do to keep yourself occupied and meet other people. I think it's just about getting out there and making yourself known.

    I hope this helps.

No, the basic point of my lonerdom is that I don't get normal knowledge. there is knowledge that all others get and I do not.

Could you give us an example of what you mean by normal knowledge please?

If you don't want to tell us, that's fine. But I don't know what you're talking about, and if other people don't understand either, we can't offer you anything as a community

All fiend is saying is what kind of things do you want knowledge about? Maths for example? Or more abstract things, like friendships?

    no.

There is a body of normal knowledge that everybody has. I want it since:

    - Not having it is making me a loner
    - Not having (and by making me a loner) is making me a laughing stock

People who thus deny me it are either cruel, or they don't understand how humans behave. Everybody recognises that we live our own lives, and can do anything to advance ourselves.

Could you please give me an example of what you think is normal knowledge? I really don't think I understand, and I would like to :)

I'm trying to understand too. Do you mean social skills, of how other "normal people" seem to get along?

I'm having a serious case of deja vu.

    Oh God, not this bullshit.

Google 'Normal Knowledge' and the results are all similar posts on forums.

    The format is:

    1) Weird user shows up
    2) Makes a thread about normal knowledge
    3) Other users ask what normal knowledge is
    4) Weird user starts making accusations about people on the forum denying them normal knowledge
    5) Other users attempt to reason with Weird user
    6) Thread goes nowhere
    7) Rinse and repeat

This thread is now about why this gif makes me laugh until I cry:

    No?

Maybe you should read this. Or this. Or this. Maybe this. Possibly this. Then again, there is always this.

The point is that this act is just trolling.

You must be an insecure person, if you believe you can dismiss things with such totality lol...
