    Thanks Jo, the guarantor thing confused me, makes sense now though. I think I'm just going to have to stop being stupid and move in with this guy who my friend knows, it doesn't look like anything else is gonna come up atm, he seems nice enough ,I'm just scared of people ha. Doesn't have to be for long just so I can figure it all out.

    How well do you know your friend, and how well does your friend know him?
    If there's a "chain of trust" there you'll probably be fine. Being a friend I imagine that your friend wouldn't tell you to live with anyone dangerous or someone who wants you to step on your toes all the time to avoid waking the crickets.
