Graduated, now what?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I'm just about to graduate with a 2.1 in biological sciences. I have been looking for jobs related to my field (research assistant generally) The only problem is i've absolutely no idea where to look? It doesn't generally yield many relevent jobs on most websites, so my questions is are there any specialist websites i should be looking at for biology/science jobs?

Thanks in advance

Does your uni have a careers service? That should normally be the first port of call.

Generally the graduate schemes you're best of going through the individual companies. Graduate recruitment bureau is alright though.

I've always found agencies to be the best way into big companies - places like this. Can't speak for research companies but the scumbag finance and banking ones I soil my soul with tend to take on temp staff as an extended audition before offering a full time job.

A lot of industries will have an industry journal or magazine where most of the jobs are advertised. You lecturer should be able to tell you this (and should have already).
