septum piercing w/ a runny nose

I have lots of nasal issues and most of them lead me to have a constant runny nose and I'm all boogery like a gross small child. I had a nostril piercing years ago but it didn't last more than a month becasue of that.

I've been contemplating a septum lately but am afraid it will have the same result, but with much more pain in the beginning :p But it isn't nearly as far in your nose as the nostril piercing so maybe it won't be so bad...

Opinions, experiences?

I don't have a piercer so I don't have a "pro" to ask atm.

Then I think that inching up on 30 is probably too old for one...

I'm going through my midlife crisis 20 years early. :crying:

I suffer with hayfever, I got my septum pierced during a breakout. It caused me no problems - cold winds is what caused my pain It goes after a few days. If you get really bad, stuff tissue up your nose (its what I do whenever I have a runny nose), just not too tightly packed or rough, just enough to cushion the piercing and stop the mucus flow.
