Possible fractured finger?

I managed to trap my finger at work today between a crate of eggs and the shelf, it hurt pretty bad and it's been throbbing all day since despite taking painkillers. I can still bend it but any kind of pressure on it really hurts, especially the tip. Is this something I need to go to the docs for? Bearing in mind I want to see the docs about something unrelated anyway?

    Sounds badly bruised or broken. Certainly worth medical attention.

    Might be worth going to minor injuries and having it looked at.
