Also, do you think it's worth starting a general running thread so that non-Royal Parks runners can jump in and share tips?

I think this would be a good idea.

First official run this morning went really well but I got horrid foot cramps. I started getting them a while back when I was running, are there any stretches that people know of that might get rid of them?

    Could it be your trainers?

Just got new trainers that are supposed to have good arch support.

I think we should probably make use of the sport forum

Moving this in to Sport now :)

If only I'd seen that yesterday- I just directed a friend towards a site with commission.

Arse. I didn't think of that even though it had been said before. I wonder if I should close the justgiving page before anyone uses it?

If there's one that doesn't take commision that sounds like a good plan to me

I got my normal size, and it's fine. Tested it yesterday and all is still attached.

    no bounce?

A little, but less than my M&S bra. Not ever used the Debenhams ones, though, so I don't know how they compare.

    Hi all ,

I've just signed up to run Royal Parks for YouthNet as well, so right now I've got a form of nervous excitement :hyper: running through my body! Especially so as I'm a running virgin, but I figured that RP is far enough away for me to gradually build up to it, as I see some of you have been suggesting.

Anyway, I was quite glad when Cataska told me in the office this morning that there's a burgeoning discussion about it on the boards. Hopefully you'll all guilt me into a good training routine!

So, I guess I'm looking forward to going on a training journey with you all and (ultimately) meeting you in person on the big day! :D

    Will.

ive been trying to fit in running where i can. Not easy with 3 kids, but i ran a couple of 5ks over the weekend, and i jogged the nursery run pushing the double buggy (fucking hard) and then ran back. Thats about 1.5miles each way. Got my treadmill too, so am gonna use that when i cant do outdoor running.
I wish id tried outdoor running ages ago. Im really enjoying it.

My mum just called me to say she is thinking of running it for Mind :)

But I'm not allowed to tell anyone because she doesn't want Dad to put her down...

For the others who are doing it, I just noticed they've uploaded training plans to the Royal Parks foundation website.

The intermediate one looks really good so I'm going to start that for the last 16 weeks (from 20th June, the day after the 7 mile run).
