  It wouldn't be cool in the sense you mean because you can't just go in and buy it, you need to be given prescriptions (in a sense) to actually buy it. You have to be referred by your doctor. Which means more shit for doctors to deal with, since they got loads of stick for sick notes.

  In the US they make you become a licensed grower. Called "Caregivers", which you have to be a medical patient yourself to do.
  
  The way it works is the shops you buy the weed from have to first be legal. You need to go to a state where you can get a permit to grow "medical" weed. Once you get your permit you then grow and you sell it to licensed dispensaries (and use yourself). These dispensaries also have their own dedicated growers, so if you were to grow and sell, you wouldn't sell loads, you'd sell a few lbs and have to sell to other dispensaries.
  
  That said if your stuff isn't high grade, they would simply not buy it. So if you were to buy from the grower, who says he grows for medical purposes too, you would assume his stuff is high grade - but he could be selling you dodgy shit, or the stuff that wasn't good enough for the dispensaries so you'd have to be careful. Opens new doors for bad dealers.
  
  That's probably how it would work here, if it was to happen. Following suit with how America does it. So medical grade isn't anything special, just tested for purity and sold through a middle man, and taxed.
