No, it wouldn't. I don't give a shit which you think is better, it doesn't bother me at all. You'll find it's very hard to genuinely anger me.

I assumed you were being snippy because you thought that I was being snippy, and thus clarified my original point. You responded that you didn't say what you in fact said. Then you dodged the point by calling me boring. And now you're changing the subject entirely instead of answering a very simple question. I'll ask it again: Why did you say it if not to make a point that British universities are better?

The point is, it has been suggested that there are differences in uni ed in English and USA, where it has also been suggested that the English unis prepare students better for post-grad, whilst the USA unis prepare students better with an all-round ED. It might be true and I'm quite happy to believe it.

Thank you for saying what I had originally said that you said. Now we can agree that you were saying British universities prepare students better than American ones. I don't care that you said that, I only responded to it because I thought you had misinterpreted my post as some sort of attack.

Why you had to go through so many posts of "No, I didn't say that, why would you think I said that, I said nothing of the sort, you don't know what I meant" to get back to the original thing that you said, I have no clue.

Prepare them for post-grad study in comparrison to a 'well-rounded' education, yeah- maybe. Do you have a problem with that?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
You're determined to offend us in some way to prove your point in the censorship thread. You obviously fail to understand one minute little factor: We don't give a flying fuck what you believe.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    I think you do.

...I already said that I don't. You're either trying to be difficult on purpose or you're an idiot, and I think I'm starting to lean towards the former. You seem to be very intent on contradicting us (me, the Chief, Black Hawk, basically that whole group of newcomers) in order to get us "offended" or to spark some conflict, and it's just not going to happen. I think we've sufficiently covered this topic, now that we've come full circle and you've done nothing but make yourself look stupid, so let's leave it here, hm?

    Again, or option three.

    Chortle?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
That's right, chortle- it wasn't an either or situation, and yet you presented it as though it were.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Those two were my thoughts on the situation. If you're not either then you can tell me which one you are. I expect you'll dodge the question by saying something nonsensical, or perhaps reverting to your standard, "I didn't say that" stance, though, so I won't bother asking. I think we've gone on long enough as we're not getting anywhere and, frankly, I'm getting a little tired of this. Goodnight Miss Katralla, I hope you had fun trying to annoy me.

Glad to see the hostility in this thread has waned! :)

    Lol.

I went for a scatter gun approach to getting a degree for the first three years, studying whatever I could get on to, after which I specialised for another three years- a way I think creates a fun, fabulous, and fantastic degree experience. I think a combo of both a general education and preparation for further study is best, most people don't get a choice.

Current Major is Psychology but I plan on changing it back to Theater and transferring to a Film school or an Art to go for what something that will make me happy instead of something that will make me money.

Good idea, although I've never thought of psychology as something that would make you money. I did film studies. Haven't pursued it yet. Currently planning on working my way towards an MA in applied linguistics.

I actually had my career really planned out to where I could make it into something real, but I was just bored with it.

    Goodnight

Don't rush back. You lo.t really aren't as clever as you think you are, nor as amusing.

Probably because she wasn't trying to be clever or amusing. She was just saying "I'm done". ;)

I wasn't talking about that one person, or that one post.

Aw. Well, shucks. Your attention means everything in the world to me, Big Gay. ;)

    Lol.

Yeah, spoke too soon right

OK, so I'm not quite sure how a thread about what major subject did you study became this bitchy, but it's pretty tiresome. I'd rather not close it, so please try and remember to present your opinion in a respectful way or as Kaff said in another thread, don't say anything at all.
