Work for shy guy/people

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I'm a shy guy who's working in a shit factory. I have bad GSCEs.

I'm fed up working in a factory on minimum wage. I hate it there!!

I would like to know what jobs someone who is shy could do?

I am wondering if working behind a bar would work?

Any ideas would be great.

Well only you can know if you think you're confident to work behind a bar.

I work in a coffee shop so i have to be able to talk to people, make friendly banter, and deal with it when someones being an ass or makes a complaint. Its a very social job so if you have trouble talking to people in general, i.e. when you chat to someone in a queue or asking stragers for directions etc then its probably not for you

how about shop work? I found it helpped my shyness a bit when talking to people I didn't know, as customers ask you questions about where to find things in the shop etc.

I forgot to add something else. Due to the fact that I suffer from varicose veins and ulcers on on my ankles, I need a job where I'm walking around, keeping active all day, And not just sat down, or stood up in one place.

Why not kill several birds with one stone and become a male escort ;)
