Steri strips on prescription

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
My care co-ordinator in my last PCT suggested I could get steristrips on prescription, has anyone ever asked? I know you can get them cheapish on Amazon (of all places) but I don't pay for prescriptions.

I'm not doing brilliantly at the moment and I'm a little worried they might get infected.

You should ask. Or, what are the nurses like at your practise? Is there one you could see regularly to get your wounds cleaned and bandaged appropriately, whilst being checked for signs of infection?

I'd guess you can get steri strips.

I used to get all my dressing stuff on prescription, pads, tape, cleaning stuff the works so would imagine you can get steri strips as well.

Sure you're well aware, but if you're concerned about infection then might need a cover up type dressing as well as steri strips.
