I went iterrailing around Europe back in the days of yore. 13 cities, 8 countries, 2 months. Was absolutely awesome. Do it!

I do as well actually, fuck sake i wanna go everywhere!

If you do go to America, I suggest road-tripping some of it. Route 66 of course, and LA-San Fran is supposed to be one of the most scenic routes, too.

www.usrentacar.co.uk/ - that looks like one of the best/cheapest car rental companies for the US (run by a UK company, too). It's what I think I'll be using. :d

arhh sorry if you feel this thread has 'ended' and im therefore bringing it up again...but had to throw Africa out there. i went in april and had the most amazing time. kenya, uganda, tanzania and zambia. tanzania in particular was awesome..the island of zanzibar is a must see...so many good hostels and i think really rewarding to say you've been to africa, seen giraffe, hippos, lions, elephants, crocodiles etc... and avoided malaria!

I would also add Africa as my favourite too.
