Botox as medical treatment

Last month, I went to see a Neurologist because I have chronic neck pain. (now diagnosed as Torticollis / Cervical Dystonia) I have been told that I need to have Botox injections. Has anyone had botox injections for this type of problem?

I haven't had them but I know that they are used regularly for pain control. It's one of the few exceptions to the "No Botox on the NHS" rules.

    That suggests that it's effective.
