Ok, so i have a skin tag, down there, at the back
It doesnt hurt or itch, its just there and i havent had it checked by the doctor or anything.
Will guys be put off by this? I know its an area that not a cause for concern as far as cosmetics go but i have a kind of fuck buddy friend who's getting more interested in that area and im a bit embarrassed about it.
Should i get it checked by the doctor? Anyone know the usual procedure for removing them?

You can tie it off with a bit of cotton thread and it'll 'die off'.

I would suggest seeing the doctor and see what they say - depending on what it's like they might be able to cut it or freeze it off.
Bit nervous though cos its a male doctor
He has probably never seen parts of female anatomy and will have NO IDEA what he is doing! be wary!
fuck off
No, only ever a female nurse but apparently it has to be a doctor for this. Im not even sure if they have female doctors (its the uni medical centre), but i might just ring and ask
Can you determine this by the doctor's sex?
I know that male doctors arent more likely to be but i cant help imagining that he will be
I've been to a few different gynos and the first appt is always nothing but meeting with the doctor and their female nurse (if it is a male doctor) and making sure that you are comfortable with them and asking any questions and airing your concerns. Could you ask for something like that if it is not already in place?
It took me a little while to get the courage to even make the appointment so if i can do that, im sure i can get over having a male doctor
In my experience, females are more sensitive to recognising what other females might be sensitive to. I don't doubt the professionalism of GPs regardless of sex/gender but, when whopping my bits out I have found it easier to have gone with a female.
I didn't say anything about a refferal, just giving my two cents of always meeting the doctor before your actual appointment and seeing if that was what was going to happen, or if it could be an option to help ease any insecurities.
Ah, I get you now, thanks
