Is this the craziest pop cult of them all?

A new angry young sound has been emerging from the underground clubs of Britain and America. The lyrics of this music are deliberatley offensive but mostly inaudable as the music is so over ampliefied, fast and distorted.

Fans of this music called 'new wave' or 'punk' wear tight trousers, torn and ripped clothing decorated with chains, safety pins and zips and often dye their hair bright colours too and wear it in vicious looking spikes.

Here is a clip of one of the new bands from this growing musical phenomen playing at underground club the Roxy in London one of the few clubs where these bands are permitted to play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNStkEiLDpc

What do people think of this new shocking music?

No, but it is done in a style of looking at punk from the time it came out to show how it has lost none of its shock value and has not aged after 34 years.

Here is an excellent documentary on punk rock from 1977: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j88zsWjmB-A

To be honest.. I think people should be free to express themselves, whether that be in music, clothes or whatever. Punk is nothing new, nothing bad.
