Depends on how you define a balanced healthy diet.

It is possible to gain all the vitamins you need without taking supplements if it's that what you are asking.

No. If you have a good diet, or even an ok diet you should be getting everything you need. Unless you have a medical condition, pregnant, undereating or some other things it is pretty much a waste of money. Some vitamins contain more than you DV which can be bad. Many supplements also contain more things than just the vitamin or mineral and it is important to look out for that as well. I dont know how the food and drugs are regulated in the UK but I know here in the US, many of those things are not strictly regulated, consumer beware.

No, multivitamins are bad for you even if your diet is poor. Eat veg.

Because it's a load of bollox, the way vitamins are delivered in pills is not the same as if you ingest them via foods. Unless you need them to correct a tested deficiency, vitamin tablets are a scam and should be avoided.

minime might be suggesting that they are bad for you because there have been numerous publications on how the ODs of vitamins you get from these tablets combined with a rich Western diet are bad for you. I don't know whether they are or not but the need for them is certainly bollox.

Healthy balanced diet will provide the sufficient amount of nutrients required by a human body. Vitamin deficiency in body leads to several health disorders. Various types of vitamins perform various functions in our body. There are two types of vitamins, one is fat soluble vitamin and the other is water soluble vitamin. Vitamin supplements is also beneficial in order to meet the requirement.
