Right, all I need is someone to multiply out this;
x(x-1)(x+2)
I can do the rest from there, any help is appreciated :)

    I'm shit at maths, we had an exam today it was a "just for fun" exam that doesn't count to anything... so it's pointless anyway... but I totally failed :p

    If you're stuck on any.... errrmmm... Drama I'll help you. I'm good at drama :p

    From what i remember, brackets always first.

    So say x is 3

    x(x-1)(x+2)=

    3(2)(5)=

    3 x 2 x 5 = 30

    ofc i could be totally wrong

    As far as I know, it comes out as some bloody formula, which can then be substituted into an equation x.x
    Ah well, i'm sure i'll figure it out somehow

    You don't ever figure it out as X is a number... Just don't do it.

    We learnt it like this http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/maths/algebra/symbolsrev3.shtml

    x(x-1)(x+2)

    bit in brackets = x^2 –x +2x -2
    SO = x^2 +x -2

    Multiplied by x

    X^3 + X^2 -2X

    EDIT: I think thats right. You heard of the 'grid method' for multiplying out brackets?

    EDIT2: OK, i've added in some workings for you to take a look at - see attachment.

    PurpleStarFish is right.

    Can you multiply out two brackets normally? Its just the same as that, you just repeat the process.

    I really dislike this math paper. Waaay to hard.

    I used to kick quadratic equation ass at school. But having not needed that knowledge since then I wouldn't have a clue how to do them now.
