Can I do this with meat?

I'm not 100% sure I can:

Someone in the flat has decided that buying loads of meat storing it in the freezer was a good idea. This leaves no room for me to put in 2 small packs of meat in the freezer.

Can I put them in the fridge and use them on Wednesday? One of them will be used tomorrow too.

Or is it safer to cook both tonight and see if I can freeze them?

the one for tomorrow will be fine

The other one should be OK, but you might be better off cooking it Monday or Tuesday, and reheating on Wednesday.

What meat is it, and what were you planning to cook with it?

    Thank you. :)

I was planning on doing shepherd's pie and it's mince beef.

Someone has just advised me to cut it up, put it in sandwich bags and freeze it.

My mum writes the date on things that she puts into bags before freezing -they last... I dunno, a certain amount of time frozen, it should say on the original packaging.

If yo're doing separds pie, cook the meat and onions, tomorrow, then make the pie on Wednesday. But if you can fit it in the freezer by bagging it that's probably less fuss
