There are provisions for events like this. Your university will probably have a scheme where you apply for mitigating circumstances. You will need to describe the difficulties you've been having over hte term, and if they accept that you had overwhelming difficulties, they either give you more time to do things, or let you redo them without penalty.

Look on the university website, if you can't find it, ring your tutor and ask them what form you need to fill in. The dealines for mitigating circumstances are coming up soon so you need to do it now.

Try not to worry but do get a wriggle on and try to get it sorted soon.

totally agree, gotta be proactive and show that regardless of whats going on you can keep yourself together.

i know parent troubles are hard, so make sure youre not dealing with it alone. have the rest of the family support the dear mummykins, and get counselling and therapy as required for yourself.

you may be better off postponing your current year via a mitigating evidence application, if you find youve missed a lot of work. if there is a risk of not passing your exams/resits with the grades you want due to missed work and anxiety, you may prefer to start afresh later on.

it is true that many students will have gone through a similar situation so the university will have provisions in place to deal with this. thing is as well you have to cooperate and help them too, through being sincere and knowing how you want things to happen in the near future.

unfortunately they wont reach out to you unless you reach first.

my prayers are with you and your mother, so trust yourself to make the right decision and dont be afraid to face tomorrow.
