Are we famous for fudge?

My German penfriend went to an annual food convention today, where people set up stalls for different countries. These stalls represent countries from around the world such as Italy, Japan, Mexico and so on. She said that at the British stand, they were showcasing Marmite, Yorkshire tea, fudge and various beverages like our Guinness. I can understand the Guinness and our tea (because us Brits are big on tea), but are we really famous for fudge? I hardly eat it and my only knowledge of fudge really is when colleagues come back to work after being in Wales or Cornwall and they hand around their fudge that they acquired on their travels.
Beep boop. I'm a bot.
