I say traditional just so no one will respond with Glee, but what's your favorite musical from film, the stage, or even TV?

Have you seen Wicked, Kat? I've heard that is just amazing and have always wanted to go. No longer available, only crap playing! Shrek the musical and Jersay boys? Though they have the Addams family musical... I'm curious.

I mean, after how many years of existence does it become traditional?
ahh I forgot dancer in the dark great film
Based on the OP's comment I'm guessing it's just to avoid Glee or TV shows using musical elements...
though I did enjoy Buffy's Once More with Feeling a lot, along with Dr Horrible and the Horrible homage at the end of the latest 'How I Met Your Mother'
Oh yes! BRILLIANT! Though didn't see the the HIMYM sing-a-long.
Love Whedon's work.
"Laundry day, see you there, underthings, tumber-ling."
"And we will walk, through the fire..."
lalalalalala
I guess I meant more in the vein of traditional stage musicals, whether onstage or adapted to TV. Plus, Glee, which is probably the most popular right now, uses pop songs and material written by other artists for other mediums, whereas musicals like Tommy and the like adapt an entire catalogue from one artist, or HSM or my favorite, Fame, use original songs set in a high school setting.
Give me Guys & Dolls or Gilbert & Sullivan any day.
Here's the end of the MIMYM episode for Dr.Horrible/Wheadonesque fans
